The Spring Green Gala Benefit for The KNFC Expansion was a great success! It was a beautiful evening at The Masonic Temple on West Main Street in Kent, last Saturday, May 31.
Thank you to all who donated their time, goods, and services to the event! It was a fantastic convergence of elegant atmosphere, fine food, excellent company, and an exciting silent auction. Together we raised over $1,500 for the expansion!
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to get ready to break ground. Architectural Drawings have been submitted and approved. Various individuals representing different trades have been contacted and interviewed. Financing has been approved and we’re in the last stages of planning before we begin our expansion. We hope to hire a General Contractor at our next Board Meeting and begin the construction in July or early August.
Masonic Temple, 409 W. Main St., Kent, OH

We approved a lifetime membership to Jason Turnidge and Katie Strand as well as volunteer hours up to 20 hours per month for their work on 3D graphic depictions of our expansion plans.
We extended indefinitely six hours weekly staff time for tasks related to marketing/public relations work, specific distribution to be decided by the staff collective.
Back pay approved for staff member passing 5 year service mark.
Yearly bonus distribution was approved.
The meeting was called to order at 7:15
The Fundraiser and Silent Auction was very successful and raised almost $1,000 for the Kent Natural Foods Co-op.
Thank you for participating!
